Sound Grinder Pro is designed to produce excellent results in the fastest means possible and the following steps will get you up and running quickly.
General Quick Start
- Launch Sound Grinder Pro.
- Select file(s)/folder(s) in the Finder.
- Drag the selected file(s)/folder(s) onto the Sound Grinder Pro window.
- Choose your processing options.
- Click the Process button to initiate the processing.
Note: You can also initiate a Convert Session by selecting New Convert Session... from the File menu.
Edit Session Quick Start
Choose from the following options to edit an audio asset.
- CONTROL+click on an audio file in the Finder and choose Edit from the Sound Grinder Pro menu (in the More menu in MacOS 10.5 and later).
- Select an asset in the Asset List and click the edit button next to the playback controls.
- Choose New Edit Session from the File menu
In the editor, make selections and changes with standard edit commands. For further processing, you can also select from many options in the Action Menu. Refer to the Editing Audio section of this User’s Guide for more details
Rapid Convert Quick Start
To process audio files from within the Finder, use Rapid Convert.
- Select file(s)/folder(s) in the Finder and CONTROL+CLICK one of the selected items to bring up the contextual menu.
- Select Rapid Convert (show settings) from the Sound Grinder Pro section of the contextual menu (in the More menu in MacOS 10.5 and later)
- Choose your processing options.
- Click the Process button to initiate the processing.
- The Rapid Convert Progress window will appear. This window will automatically close when the processing has completed.
Note: For faster processing, set your common Rapid Convert settings in Preferences or create new presets. Then when choosing Rapid Convert in the contextual menu, simply select Rapid Convert (Default Settings) or Rapid Convert use Preset and your preset, and all specified files will be processed with those settings without any additional steps.
Note: For even faster processing, create a Droplet!
