Sessions provide the ability to create multiple setups based on your project needs or to save the set of assets and processing settings at any point. For example, you can create a session template for each of your projects, list of your common assets, or maybe a list of your source files to quickly reference for batch-processing.
To Initiate a Convert Session
- Select New Session... from the File menu.
- Drag files and folders onto the Sound Grinder Pro application icon while holding down the OPTION key.
- Select files and folders in the MacOS Finder, CONTROL+click the selection, and select Import from the Sound Grinder Pro menu (in the More menu in MacOS 10.5 and later).
- Select a single file or folder in the MacOS Finder and select Import in the Sound Grinder Pro menu in the Services menu in the Finder menu.
Once assets are imported, you can continue processing as described in the Process section of this document.
Saving and Opening Sessions
At any time, any session may be saved. Session files can also be passed to another user working on the same project. If the session files reference any files on a server, as long as the other user mounts the server using the same name, they will be able to access all audio assets in the session file. Some saved session files are also compatible with other Monkey Tools products.
