Rapid Convert

Rapid Convert provides instant access to Sound Grinder Pro’s powerful processing options directly within the MacOS Finder. This provides the ability to perform complex processing on audio files without the need to manually import them into the application.

Once Rapid Convert has been initiated, the Rapid Convert Progress window will be displayed. The window will automatically close when processing has been completed.

To Rapid Convert Files and Folders Using the Default Settings:

1. Select the desired files and folders in the MacOS Finder.
2. Initiate Rapid Convert in one of the following ways:

• CONTROL+click the selection and select Rapid Convert (DefaultSettings) from the Sound Grinder Pro menu (in the More menu in macOS 10.5 and later).
• Drag and drop the files and folders onto the Sound Grinder Pro application icon while holding down the COMMAND key.
• Select Rapid Convert (Default Settings) in the Sound Grinder Pro menu in the Services menu in the Finder menu. Note that at this time, MacOS only supports initiating services with one file or folder selected.

Note: The Rapid Convert default settings are specified in Preferences.

To Rapid Convert Files and Folders and Specify the Settings:

1. Select the desired files and folders in the MacOS Finder.
2. Initiate Rapid Convert in one of the following ways:

• CONTROL+click the selection and select Rapid Convert (Show Settings) from the Sound Grinder Pro menu (in the More menu in MacOS 10.5 and later).
• Drag and drop the files and folders onto the Sound Grinder Pro application icon while holding down the OPTION+COMMAND keys.
• Select Rapid Convert (Show Settings) in the Sound Grinder Pro menu in the Services menu in the Finder menu. Note that at this time, MacOS only supports initiating services with one file or folder selected.

To Rapid Convert Files and Folders Using a Preset:

1. Select the desired files and folders in the MacOS Finder.
2. CONTROL+click the selection and select Rapid Convert (Use Preset) from the Sound Grinder Pro menu (in the More menu in MacOS 10.5 and later).
