Assets Viewing

This section describes the various ways in which assets and information about those assets can be viewed.

Master List The Master List is the primary Database view, and is divided into the following sections: Libraries Libraries represent the actual folder structure on the hard drive or server. Sets Sets are a user-created collection of assets and can be organized in a hierarchy. Create multiple hierarchies based on project, character, voice talent, etc. Smart Sets Smart Sets are dynamic collections of assets based on selection criteria. Bins Bins are temporary collections of “tagged” assets. There is always at least 1 bin, but additional bins can be created/removed as desired. Recent Searches Displays the most recent searches. The results of the search are stored in the collection for quick access.

Asset List

Use the Asset List to view certain information about the assets directly and select assets to view more detailed information or initiate playing, editing, and processing.  You can change which columns are displayed in the Main Window section in Preferences.

Asset Info

The Asset Info tab displays the expanded details of the selected assets including audio specifications, and metadata, if applicable. Depending upon the assets selected, some or all of the following information will be displayed.

General
This section displays high-level information about the assets.  Click “Reveal in Finder” to trigger the Finder to show the referenced file.

Audio Track 1, 2, 3...
These sections provide detailed information for each audio track.

Video Track 1, 2, 3...
These sections provide detailed information for each video track.

Broadcast Extension
This section provides viewing and editing of the Broadcast Extension metadata.

FLAC Comments
This section provides viewing and editing of the FLAC Comments metadata.

ID3 Tags
This section provides viewing and editing of the ID3 tags metadata.

MPEG 4 Metadata
This section provides viewing and editing of the MPEG 4 metadata.

Pro Tools Metadata
This section provides viewing and editing of the Pro Tools metadata.

Quicktime Metadata
This section provides viewing and editing of the Quicktime metadata.

Vorbis Comments
This section provides viewing and editing of the Vorbis Comments metadata.

WAVE Info
This section provides viewing and editing of the WAVE Info metadata.
