Droplets are “mini” applications that provide a quick and convenient way to convert your audio files directly within the Finder. They operate based on preset settings, ensuring consistent results.
Droplets can be stored anywhere in the Finder. Once created, simply drag any number of files or folders onto a Droplet, and the assets will be processed using the preset settings.
For instance, you can create a Droplet that converts audio files to the MP3 format, sets author and copyright information, and then use it every time you need to send an MP3 to a client. This ensures that your copyright information is included and accurate.
Create a Droplet
- Open the application.
- Specify your desired settings in the Process tab.
- Select Create Droplet... from the Gear menu.
- Choose the name and desired location for the Droplet and click OK.
- The Droplet will now be created in your specified location.
Use a Droplet
- Drag and drop the files and folders onto the Droplet to convert them. The audio files will be processed using your preset settings.
- Update a Droplet
- If you want to modify the settings in the Droplet, simply delete it and recreate it using the “Create a Droplet” steps.
