Prerequisite
The waveform editor is available only in pro versions of Library Monkey (Pro) and Sound Grinder (Pro).
The Waveform Editor provides the following ways to view and navigate:
1. Waveform View
The Waveform View shows all channels for the current portion of audio content in addition to any defined Fades, Loops, Markers, and Regions.
To adjust the vertical size of channels for multi-channel audio:
- Click+drag the wiper between channels to adjust the channel sizes.
- Double+click any wiper to reset all channel sizes.
2. Waveform Overview
The Waveform Overview shows a mix of all channels of the entire audio content in addition to any defined Fades, Loops, Markers, and Regions. When only a portion of the audio content is viewed in the Waveform View, the portion of audio that is not shown in the Waveform View will be darkened in the Waveform Overview.
- Click+drag to specify what portion of audio content to show in theWaveform View.
- SHIFT+click+drag to extend the displayed portion.
Click to center the current displayed portion at this point in the audio content.
- Double+click to show all audio content in the Waveform View.
Horizontal Zoom Slider
The Horizontal Zoom Slider adjusts the horizontal zoom level, from showing the entire audio content to showing individual samples in theWaveform View. The portion of audio that is not shown in the Waveform View will be darkened in the Waveform Overview.
To adjust the horizontal zoom:
- Click and drag the slider thumb.
- Press COMMAND+”Right Arrow” to zoom in.
- Press COMMAND+”Left Arrow” to zoom out.
Horizontal Zoom Anchors
The L, C, R, and W buttons correspond to how the horizontal zoom is anchored. When zooming horizontally, the zoom will be “anchored” to one of the following:
L - The left edge of the Waveform View will remain at the same point in the audio content.
C - The center of the Waveform View will remain at the same point in the audio content.
R - The right edge of the Waveform View will remain at the same point in the audio content.
W - The playback wiper will remain at the same place in the Waveform View.
Horizontal Scrollbar
The Horizontal Scrollbar allows you to move the currently viewed portion of the audio content.
Vertical Zoom Buttons
To adjust the vertical zoom:
Click the plus or minus buttons to the right of the Horizontal Scrollbar.
- Press COMMAND+”Up Arrow” to zoom in.
- Press COMMAND+”Down Arrow” to zoom out.
